"In 10 years the world will be different": Zakhar Prilepin on the future of the multipolar system
In ten years, an anti-colonial system will emerge with Russia and the countries of the Global South at its centre. This was stated by writer and public figure Zakhar Prilepin during his speech at the International Cooperation Forum at the National Centre RUSSIA.
"In ten years, I see an anti-colonial system taking shape, with Russia and the countries of the Global South at its core. We will restructure international relations so that our closest partners will be the countries of Africa, which have historically sympathised with us, and the red belt of Latin America — Cuba, Venezuela, Nicaragua and Brazil. This also includes India and North Korea. Only such an arrangement will allow us to speak as equals with Europe and America," said Zakhar Prilepin.
According to the writer, such a system will make it possible to create new global cultural hierarchies — including a new version of the Nobel Prize, the Oscars, Eurovision and the Olympic Games. In this case, Zakhar Prilepin believes, Europe and the United States will have to follow Russia’s lead.
Zakhar Prilepin’s address took place on 26 October during the International Cooperation Forum at the National Centre RUSSIA.
