Digital transformation: Successes in IT, Internet and Telecom Development - at the RUSSIA EXPO
On January
17, as part of the Digitalization Day at the RUSSIA EXPO, a plenary session
entitled IT, Telecom, Internet: How National Leaders Develop Themselves and
Develop the Industry is being held. Speakers representing leading companies in
the Russian digital world take part in it. The session is divided into three
large blocks of both discussions and speaker presentations: telecom, IT,
internet and digital.
Deputy
Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized,
speaking to the industry representatives, that one of the five national
development goals is devoted specifically to digital transformation.
«By
order of the President, we are making a step from the Digital Economy to the
Data Economy — a new cross-cutting national project. We expect that thanks to
the national project, the revenue of the top 100 IT companies will increase 2.5
times, to 5.3 trillion rubles, and GDP will grow by 11.2 trillion rubles due to
artificial intelligence technologies. Citizens will have access to 3.5 times
more public services online. By 2030, at least a thousand IT startups will be
supported, about two thousand solutions and products will be created, as well
as more than 850 thousand IT specialists will be trained», — said Dmitry
Chernyshenko.
He also
emphasized that the government should be able to quickly implement new
solutions to promptly respond to the problems of citizens and requests from
business. For this purpose, a unified digital platform GosTech is being
developed under the Presidential Decree.
«In the next two years, more than 100 projects will be implemented on it, including ready-made services and standard solutions for the regions. Already this year, we will start transferring the systems and services of the constituent entities of Russia to GosTech. It is also important that the platform has an unprecedented level of protection — it is completely based on Russian software and technological solutions, it is protected from natural and cyber threats", - emphasized Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The
moderator of the plenary session, Sergei Plugotarenko, Director General of the
Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Digital Economy, noted that the solid
indicators achieved by our digital and IT industry «speak for
themselves.»
«We
have more than 100 million users in the Russian segment of the Internet. We
have a substantial Internet economy. At the end of 2022 it amounted to 12
trillion rubles, there is a forecast that it will grow by another 35 percent at
the end of 2023. No other economy is growing at such a pace», — emphasized
Sergei Plugotarenko.
In addition, the expert noted that Russia has entered the top 10 countries out of 198 in digitalization of public administration with «A» rating. The industry employs more than 3 million IT workers, the Russian user loves and believes in digitalization and the way the digital world conveniently exists for him, Sergei Plugotarenko stressed.
