Ded Moroz Baikal and Snegurochka Angara welcome visitors to the International RUSSIA EXPO at the Irkutsk region stand. Their roles are performed by Irkutsk showman and presenter Arkady Starodubtsev and Valeria Moskvichyova, a third-year student of the Irkutsk Theater School.
"A lot of people approach us, guests from all over Russia, and recently there were even people from Colombia. They take pictures with us, chat with us. We organize interactive activities for visitors of the stand and give gifts to the winners," said Valeria Moskvichyova.
Baikal and Angara hold a half-hour performance at the stand, where they tell about Irkutsk region and then ask visitors questions. The most attentive guests get memorable prizes in the form of a real cedar cone. One of its scales imitates gold, because the region presents itself at VDNH under the motto "Irkutsk region is the golden link of Russia".
