Day of the Lugansk Republic at the RUSSIA EXPO: miners' glory, science and export potential
Visitors to the stand of the Lugansk Republic at the RUSSIA EXPO can try on miner's overalls and safety equipment — from helmets to self-rescuers. A piece of anthracite, a valuable type of hard coal mined in the Lugansk region, is given to each visitor as a souvenir. On the Day of the Region at the RUSSIA EXPO, the head of the LPR Leonid Pasechnik spoke about the industrial, scientific and cultural potential of the Lugansk region.
"Today, the Lugansk People's Republic is actively rebuilding with the full support of the federal authorities and directly the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. Thus, on his instructions, 32 regions of Russia provide patronage assistance to cities and districts of our Republic: they build and repair social facilities, houses, roads, infrastructure of housing and communal services", — said the head of the Lugansk People's Republic Leonid Pasechnik.
To date, the LPR has already restored more than 3.5 thousand objects of economy, infrastructure and social sphere. Among the actively developing industries are mechanical engineering, metallurgy and agriculture. Russian Export Center helps the region to establish export of products.
On the Day of the Region at the RUSSIA EXPO an expanded council of rectors of universities of the LPR with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation is held. Here they discuss programs for the development of universities of the Republic.
On the LPR Day the RUSSIA EXPO also features performances by the brass band and students of the Matusovsky Lugansk State Academy of Culture and Arts, the "Folk Music" folk instrument orchestra. The play will be performed by artists of the Pavel Luspekayev Lugansk Academic Russian Drama Theater.
Teachers and students of the Lugansk Republican Center of Ecological and Naturalistic Creativity prepared workshops on making New Year decorations from natural materials.
The Regional Day will be rounded off with a large concert "Lugansk Region — the Cradle of Donbass".
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. The International RUSSIA EXPO is held at VDNH in Moscow from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024.
