Day of the Orel Region - the literary center of Russia - at the RUSSIA EXPO

the Orel Region is taking place at the RUSSIA EXPO. Governor Andrei Klychkov
spoke to the guests about the achievements of the rapidly developing region.
"Today
we are all working hard and responsibly to make the region even more beautiful,
safer and more comfortable for residents, and more attractive - for guests.
Success in this work is largely achieved within the framework of the national
projects initiated by the President of the country Vladimir Vladimirovich
Putin. Thanks to the national projects, more than 35 billion rubles have been
additionally channeled into the region's economy. We have strategic directions
and projects of the new Orel five-year plan ahead of us. Among them are the
inter-university student campus, reconstruction of the Orel airport,
construction of the western bypass of Orel, completion of the multidisciplinary
medical center of the regional hospital", - said Andrei Klychkov.
The
achievements of the Orel region include the development of agriculture. For
example, Orel Nobel Agro Holding invests annually in the development of its
production capabilities. In 2018, the first stage of an ultra-modern elevator
with a storage capacity of 30,000 tons of grain was put into operation. Grain
storage facilities are being built - to date, 8 storage facilities have been
commissioned and two more are under construction.
The Orel
region is famous for its literary routes: there are 6 objects of cultural
heritage in the Literary Quarter of Orel: the Bunin Museum, the house of
historian Granovsky, the house where General Efremov lived, the Museum of Orel
writers and the Museum of Ivan Turgenev.
You can get acquainted with the sights of the region thanks to virtual excursions Orel Fortress and Procession of the Cross in the Korsun Desert, and for those who dreamed of seeing them in person, there is a raffle of tourist vouchers to the region.
Throughout the day at the stand the best masters of folk crafts hold a series of masterclasses, where everyone can make a rag doll, create a composition from essential oils. The Fair presented the products of Orel producers: lemonade, meat and sausage delicacies, confectionery and much more.
