The concert "We Are the Children of Chyrgal-ool" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Alexei Boktaevich Chyrgal-ool, People's Artist of the USSR and the first Tuvan composer, was held at the RUSSIA EXPO. Creative teams of the Alexei Chyrgal-ool College of Arts in Kyzyl took part in the concert. They performed Tuvan folk songs, vocal works of the composer Alexei Chyrgal-ool.

"Alexei Boktaevich Chyrgal-ool is the founder of Tuvan professional music. Tuva was known in the USSR thanks to Chyrgal-ool, he was both the creator of the symphony orchestra and the first director of the music school which is now the College of Arts and bears his name. For us, this is a great man, a man of the era, whose name is forever inscribed in the history of Tuva. At the same time, he was a very intelligent, modest man," said Ailanmaa Kan-ool, artistic director of the folklore ensemble "Saidayak", Merited Art Worker of the Republic of Tuva, Honorary Worker in Education of the Russian Federation.

Ailanmaa Kan-ool noted that the creative teams of the Alexei Chyrgal-ool Kyzyl College of Arts, which performed at the RUSSIA EXPO, strive to popularize the composer's work.

"We continue his work and want the younger generation, young people to learn more about his music. Alexei Chyrgal-ool was born into a simple Arat family, his father was a hunter. But he achieved such success, became a composer, composed oratorios, cantatas. His music is imbued with patriotism, optimism, a sense of unity. A lot of Chyrgal-ool's works are dedicated to Tuva, our nature and its beauty," Ailanmaa Kan-ool emphasized.
