The dictation with the «Prisoner of the Caucasus» was written at the RUSSIA EXPO
Honored Artist of Russia Natalia Varley held a dictation «Take it slow, I’m writing it down!» for the guests of the Day of the Irkutsk region. The project Gaidai-Dictation was created specially for the 100th anniversary of the legendary director.
The Irkutsk region is inextricably linked with the name of Leonid Gaidai. Here the Soviet filmmaker spent his childhood and graduated from school, and after the war he enrolled in the theater studio at the Irkutsk Regional Drama Theater.
Though Gaidai was born in the Far East, Irkutians love him as their fellow countryman — the local cultural and leisure center Khudozhestvenny (Artistic) bears the name of the director, and on the square near the Circus you can see a monument to Leonid Gaidai and the heroes of his films.
It is not surprising that on the Day of the Irkutsk Region at the International RUSSIA EXPO it was decided to hold a dictation based on the love for the director’s work. The authors of the Gaidai-Dictation project were the GaidaiCenter team, and the text was created by Anna Maslennikova, a teacher and author of children’s books. The reciter, by the way quite strict, was actress Natalia Varley.
«I was a student three times, I have several collections of poetry and prose, I write very fast. And I tried on my speed, but I realized that people did not keep up with me. Apparently they are not used to writing without a computer. But still the audience is great, everyone tried very hard, there are even excellent students. I am very happy,» said the artist.
The audience was also happy to see the movie star live. Although most of the participants were of older age, it turned out that young people also know the legendary names of Gaidai and Varley. For example, Olga Reznikova is one of the representatives of the younger generation at the dictation. The girl is 26 years old, but she feels quite confident.
«I have watched all of Gaidai’s films, my favorite is Kidnapping, Caucasian Style. It was very nice to see Natalia Varley herself. My parents instilled in me a love for Soviet comedies from childhood. Since then I love them with all my soul. I think that I will be able to cope with the tasks easily,» said Olga Reznikova from Moscow.
To get the coveted 5/5 it is necessary not only to write almost without mistakes, but also to highlight in the text 5 famous phrases from Gaidai’s movies. For example, «It’s lucky I came in...» and «What a beauty! What a lovely view!» Most of the participants coped with this task.
But there were much fewer excellent students, they were given stylish shoppers, and the rest of the «students» got badges and pens with phrases from the movies. The main gift for everyone was the opportunity to take a photo with the great actress.
The performance took place as part of the international Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth."
One of the tracks of the Open Dialogue is "Investments in Human Capital." The pitch session on this topic brought together over 30 speakers.
One of the key topics for discussion within the initiative became "Investments in Connectivity," which attracted 24% of the essay authors about the future of the world.
