On June 29, an excursion for participants of the cultural and educational project "Train of Memory" took place at the International RUSSIA EXPO in Pavilion No. 75. The exposition guide told high school students from Russia, Belarus and other CIS countries about the regions of Russia, their history and the role their residents played in the victory in the Great Patriotic War.

"Participating in this wonderful cultural and educational project awakened in me an incredible passion for history and all the events that took place during the Great Patriotic War, as well as other pivotal moments in history. This is not my first time at the RUSSIA EXPO, but before I only had a brief look. Thanks to the guide, I now know more about other regions and my native Ryazan region," noted Evgenia Mosharova, a participant in the "Train of Memory".

Another participant of the cultural and educational project, Maria Artemova from the Belarusian city of Bobruisk, emphasized that the RUSSIA EXPO is a must-visit for both Belarusians and Russians.

"In Moscow, we visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and laid flowers. The emotions were indescribable. You feel the spirit of that time and the invaluable contribution of the united Soviet people to the victory over Nazism. This is my first time at the RUSSIA EXPO, but I was amazed by its beauty and scale. Here, I learned about the history of many Russian regions, particularly the Smolensk region, which borders Belarus. It is essential to visit this magnificent place, steeped in the history of Russian cities and regions, in the remaining days," said Maria Artemova.

The "Train of Memory" project was initiated by the heads of the upper houses of the parliaments of Russia and Belarus, Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko, and Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalia Kochanova, at the end of 2021.

With the support of the Presidents of Russia and Belarus, the project has been implemented under the aegis of the Union State since 2023.

The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. Throughout the Exposition, cultural events, a rich business and educational program await the guests. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal agencies, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. More than 17 million people have already visited the Exposition. The International RUSSIA EXPO takes place on the territory of VDNH in Moscow from November 4 to July 8.
