The main focus of the program is on the oil and gas sector of the republic. Bashkortostan is one of the oldest oil and gas producing regions of Russia. Oil production here began in 1932, and in the second half of the 30s of the last century the first oil refineries were built. Rosneft's key asset in the Republic is Bashneft, which operates oil and gas production facilities, refineries, petrochemical plants, its own retail network for motor fuel sales and service enterprises. Bashneft's cumulative production exceeded 1.8 billion tons of oil in 2023. The company's share in oil production in the Republic is 98%.
"Bashkortostan is a unique region, which is famous, among other things, for its mineral resources - there are more than two hundred oil and gas deposits, 20 iron deposits, as well as copper, zinc, gold - in total there are more than 1 100 deposits of common minerals, and these features have made the region a real treasure trove and one of the most economically developed regions of our country.
