Russian Creative Week starts in 20 days
From 25 to 27 September, the VI Federal Forum-Festival "Russian Creative Week", the key event in the field of the creative economy, will be held at the National Centre RUSSIA. The extensive programme, available on the official website of the Forum, confirms that the creative industries are becoming Russia’s new economy.
Russian Creative Week sets the agenda and trends for the country’s entire creative sector for years ahead. The focus will be on three strategic areas: a values-based economy — 2035, the spatial development of the country and its regions in the era of a new type of economy, and the role of the creative individual in shaping new economic models. Within the structural blocks for each track, participants will discuss legislative initiatives, management models, investment instruments, the new ethics of leadership, and the transformation of professions.
The main event will be the plenary session "The State as a Visionary: A New Philosophy of Russia’s Intellectual and Creative Leadership", which will take place on 25 September at the "Visionaries" venue of the National Centre RUSSIA. Participants will discuss a strategy for the development of the creative economy based on traditional values, multipolarity, and an innovative approach. Particular attention will be paid to the role of the creative industries in shaping a new quality of life, unlocking the potential of the regions, and creating pathways for the development of a harmonious society of the future.
The three-day business programme of the Forum highlights the key themes of the creative economy, with each track opening with its own plenary session.
The first thematic track — "Values-Based Economy and Its Future — 2035" — is devoted to the role of the state in shaping sustainable ties, developing international cooperation in the creative industries, and support mechanisms. This track will be especially relevant for representatives of government bodies, business, and experts interested in effective interaction between the creative and industrial sectors, as well as in the use of digital technologies for the modernisation of industries. The main issues will be addressed at the plenary session "An Advanced Creative Economy as the Basis for Achieving Russia’s National Goals".
Other events in this block will address topics such as comprehensive regional production, values-based approaches in regional strategies, the development of the creative economy for SCO, BRICS, and CIS countries. Participants will also discuss the global role of design as one of the elements of a state’s competitiveness, while values-based content will be considered as a promising niche for managers.
The second block of the Forum — "The Spatial Development of the Country and Regions for a New Type of Economy" — is dedicated to changes in architecture, public spaces, transport, infrastructure, and human resources in the context of the growth of the creative economy. Representatives of regional government and business, experts in urban planning, architecture, and other fields will focus on the transformation of industrial cities, the prospects of small towns, the renewal of rural areas through the creative industries, as well as new models of governance and regional development.
The key event will be the plenary session "New Methods of Developing Territories and Cities in the Era of the Creative Economy".
The third thematic track of the business programme — "The Creative Individual as the Foundation of the Economy of the Future" — will focus on modern approaches to children’s and family content, the evolution of the influencer profession in digital media, the impact of music on young people’s worldview, and other issues. The main event will be the plenary session "Education for the Individual in the Era of AI: Potential for the Development of the Creative Economy of the Future".
A special place in the programme is given to Creative Entrepreneurship Day — an important event for active, mobile, and talented people whose ideas, technologies, culture, and aesthetics can influence the life of a modern city, region, and the country as a whole.
"This year Russian Creative Week will be held for the sixth time. Over the past five years, it has become a true driver of change and the country’s main platform broadcasting the agenda of the creative industries. Today we are not just summing up the results of the 'creative five years' — we are entering a new cycle, moving from discussing opportunities to systematic work. The creative industries are becoming a centre of attraction, helping to shape national identity and value foundations for the country’s development. This is the path to increasing competitiveness. Importantly, the new stage in the development of Russian Creative Week has coincided with the launch of state policy in the field of creative industries, which will allow the creative economy to move forward, relying on support measures and effective legislative initiatives," said Marina Mongush, President of ANO "Creative Economy" and Director of the Forum-Festival "Russian Creative Week".
The invited speakers of the Forum include Deputy Prime Ministers of Russia Alexander Novak and Dmitry Chernyshenko, Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Reshetnikov, Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of Russia Maksut Shadayev, Minister of Industry and Trade of Russia Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Falkov, and Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova. Speeches are also planned by Wildberries founder and Head of RWB LLC Tatyana Kim, CEO of VK Vladimir Kiriyenko, Deputy CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding JSC Tinatin Kandelaki, designer, blogger, and founder of his own design studio Artemy Lebedev, and Rector of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo Alexander Kim.
Ahead of Russian Creative Week, on 16 September, a press conference with key speakers will take place at the TASS press centre.
The gastronomic master class "Traditions of Dagestani Сuisine" was part of the Week of the Republic of Dagestan, which is being held at the "Region-2030. The Platform of the Future" exposition.
On 9 September, the National Centre RUSSIA will launch a new educational project for children and parents — an interactive quest across seven regions of the country.
At the exposition "Region-2030. Platform of the Future" guests can get acquainted with the main sights, culture and achievements of this distinctive region of Russia.
