Valor and courage: war cinema on May 9 at the RUSSIA EXPO
On Victory
Day, May 9, guests of the Exposition are invited to watch good movies dedicated
to the feat of Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War. Viewers will see
the heroic everyday life of pilots, the feat of young girls-sappers and a
veteran's journey along the river of memory.

RETRO SCREENING. ZHENYA, ZHENECHKA AND “KATYUSHA”
One of the
most tender films about the war in the RetroScreening program in the Big Cinema
Hall of Pavilion D “Our Culture”.
Soldier
Zhenya Kolyshkin, a fragile intellectual from Arbat, is a complete misfit in
the military everyday life. Having set off on New Year's Eve night for a
delivery, he stumbles into a German dugout. He manages to escape, but the brig
is inevitable. Zhenya's unenviable fate is brightened up by Zhenechka, a
communicator of the "Katyusha" regiment. Time will pass and they will
meet in a huge empty house in the liberated city....

RETRO SCREENING. CHRONICLES OF A DIVE BOMBER 12+
A
heartwarming drama about the feats and everyday life of heroic pilots as part
of the RetroScreening program in the Big Cinema Hall of Pavilion D “Our
Culture”.
This story
is about three friends who, having just finished school, went straight to the
front. Now they serve in combat aviation, and in between missions they play
football with a tin can and try to fight injustice.

film “River of Memory” is the debut directorial work of St. Petersburg actor
Alexander Udaltsov. Sincere and touching movie tells about a day in the life of
a veteran. The man visits places that connect him with the past. They grieve
his soul and awaken his memories.

story about the exploits of young female sappers who defused minefields and
roads at the cost of their lives. The main characters instructor Alexei and a
young widow with a child Polina fall in love. But unexpectedly Polina's husband
returns alive from the front. The notification of his death was erroneous. A
beautiful and tragic movie shot in Soviet style, and a poignant drama about
love based on real events.

The final panel pitching session for the "Investments in Connectivity" track took place on 29 April at the National Centre RUSSIA.
On the second day of the Open Dialogue "The Future of the World. New Platform for Global Growth" the most remarkable essays submitted by authors in each track were presented.
The topic "Investments in Human Capital" attracted the largest number of essays from around the world, becoming one of the most in-demand themes within the framework of the Open Dialogue.
