Kuzbass achievements will be showcased at the "Journey Across Russia" exposition
The history
of coal discovery, fuel exports to China, and the creation of the Kuznetsk Coal
Basin (Kuzbass) will be presented to visitors at the large-scale "Journey
Across Russia" exposition, which will open at the National Centre RUSSIA
on March 1.
Kuzbass
will be featured in the area dedicated to the Siberian Federal District. The
exposition of the Siberian Federal District will introduce visitors to
Siberia’s natural landmarks and economic achievements.
The
Kuznetsk Coal Basin is located in the south of Western Siberia. It is one of
the largest coal deposits in the world. In addition to the coal industry,
Kuzbass is also home to metallurgy, the chemical industry, and mechanical
engineering.
Coal mining
began here in the second decade of the 18th century and was carried out
manually until 1917.
Among the
items showcasing the district’s achievements, visitors will also see models of
a high-speed train locomotive and the Baikal Neutrino Telescope.
The Seventh Eurasian Aerospace Congress, the discussion "From Brush to Code: How Technology Changes the Perception of Art," the workshop "Textile Jewellery," and the strategic session of VARMSU "Transport and Infrastructure" — all in our weekly digest.
On July 31, at 18:00, the National Centre RUSSIA will host the lecture "Transport Architecture of Russia" with art scholar and architecture historian Yelizaveta Likhacheva.
One of the key areas will be the Department Store — a venue showcasing the best products from the Primorye region and the Russian Far East.
