Unity of place and ideas: participants of the All-Russian Pedagogical Congress noted the symbolism of holding it at the National Centre RUSSIA

The first All-Russian Pedagogical Congress in modern history took place at the National Centre RUSSIA. Participants and honoured guests surveyed by the press office of the National Centre RUSSIA pointed out the high significance of this event. According to them, the National Centre RUSSIA is the place where such important issues for the country as the future of national education must be discussed.

"With Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin assuming the presidency of the country, our education system acquired clear features of consistency, sovereignty, and national orientation. At the Congress it was emphasised that our education system is among the world’s top ten, and I am confident that by maintaining this pace, we will firmly enter the top three. The main task of the 'Eaglets of Russia' ('Orlyata Rossii') movement, which has already covered about 5 million children, is to instil value guidelines that they will carry throughout their lives. The National Centre RUSSIA gathers the quintessence of the achievements of the country’s multinational people in science, culture and education. This cannot but inspire, because seeing what is created in Russia, one wants to create oneself. I think that children who see this will undoubtedly become creators for the good of their beloved country," said Alexander Djeus, Director of the All-Russian children’s centre "Orlyonok", one of the initiators of the "Eaglets of Russia" movement.

The place where the future of Russian education is born was not chosen by chance, noted participants of the Congress. Guests unanimously acknowledged the special energy and atmosphere of the National Centre RUSSIA, which embodies the power, unity and achievements of all the country’s regions.

"Today’s event is a very important outcome of the enormous work, a large brainstorming session on creating a strategy for the development of the vocational education system, which was carried out at the highest level by a vast team of industry representatives. For a whole year there were expert sessions, strategic sessions, discussions with experts in the regions. And of course, it is highly symbolic that this is happening right here, at the National Centre RUSSIA, which itself was also created through the joint efforts of a large team — representatives from all regions — and also symbolises the achievements of our entire country, compactly represented in one place," stressed Sergei Kozhevnikov, Rector of the Institute for the Development of Vocational Education.

In the opinion of the guests of the Congress, its holding at the National Centre RUSSIA emphasises its historical significance and the highest status, as well as opens up new prospects for cooperation in education and in raising the younger generation.

"This event truly represents historical importance, and its high status is also confirmed by the fact that it takes place at the National Centre RUSSIA, where such major events are regularly held. That is why I am very pleased that we, as representatives of the presidential platform 'Russia – Land of Opportunity' and the 'Flagships of Education' project, also cooperate with the National Centre RUSSIA and have already held several podcasts and meetings with teachers here. I am more than confident that our fruitful cooperation will continue," said Artem Mironov, head of the "Flagships of Education" project of the Presidential platform "Russia – Land of Opportunity".

Participants of the Congress also noted that both the programme of the event and the very space of the National Centre RUSSIA impress with their scale and depth.

"It is very exciting to take part in such an important national event, where strategies of state education policy are considered — not only pre-school, but also basic secondary and higher education. It is also worth separately noting the National Centre RUSSIA: both the scale of the event itself and the space in which it takes place are very impressive," shared Nadezhda, a kindergarten teacher from the Orenburg region, with the press service of the National Centre RUSSIA.

The All-Russian Pedagogical Congress was organised by the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation with the support of the National Centre RUSSIA and became a unique platform for professional dialogue, exchange of experience and the development of strategic decisions. The event brought together 1,300 participants — representatives of leading universities and schools of the country, laureates of professional contests, teachers, leading scientists of the Russian Academy of Education and the Russian Academy of Sciences, deputies of the State Duma and senators, representatives of legislative and executive authorities, as well as leaders of public organisations and the business community.

For the participants and guests of the congress, an extensive programme was organised — plenary speeches, presentations of best practices of educational institutions, cultural and educational events, as well as a visit to an exposition dedicated to achievements in the field of education. The central event was a panel discussion devoted to the discussion of the Strategy for the Development of Education until 2036.
