At the plenary session "Space of the Future" at the RUSSIA EXPO, representatives of the regions of the Central Federal District (CFD) considered the prospects, as well as the development of transport infrastructure, manufacturing industry, agribusiness, and scientific and educational complexes.

Irek Faizullin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of Russia, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. He spoke about what has already been done and what is to be done within the framework of the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" in the CFD.

"Starting from 2019, the national project "Housing and Urban Environment" is being actively implemented. In the first five months of 2024, 10.9 million square meters of housing were commissioned in the CFD. And these are very high indicators. In accordance with the decree of the President of Russia, we are actively working to improve the quality of life of citizens. I would also like to add that it is planned to realize about 200 master plans", said Irek Faizullin.

Deputy Governor of the Kostroma region Yuri Makov spoke about the implementation of the transport reform on the territory of the city of Kostroma.

"I am grateful to our partners "VEB.RF" and "SberTroika" for their help in the implementation of the project. We have purchased 260 new buses and also created an operational dispatching center. We expected negative consequences from private carriers, but that did not happen and new buses appeared in the city from June 1, 2023. I would like to note that all buses are equipped with cameras and in the case of trouble will help in detecting offenses," said Yuri Makov.
