A real choron — the national Yakut vessel for drinking kumys — became a decoration of the New Year fir tree at VDNH. The word "choron" (choroon) comes from "choroi", "chorot", which means "to hold raised up, to pull out". The typical form is a goblet on three stems.

Several types of laddles, kychimy — a carpet that covers a horse, cozy fur mittens embroidered with ornaments, Yakut dolls in traditional clothes are also presented on the tree.

The central place is given to the Sacral World Tree Aal Luuk Mas — one of the main images in the Yakut heroic epic Olonkho. The tree symbolizes life, fertility and the center of the universe.

And, of course, the designers did not forget about Yakut Ded Moroz — Chyshaan and the Yakut sister of the Snow Maiden Snegurochka — Kharchaana. As for the stylized decoration of silver stars, they symbolize the glitter and shine of Yakut diamonds.
