St. Petersburg's New Year tree: imperial grandeur and palace classics
Admirals
and socialites, literary characters from the city's historical past and, of
course, many beautiful ladies in fashionable dresses of the 18th century - this
is how the designers presented the New Year tree of the city on the Neva.
There are a lot of porcelain dolls handmade by the St. Petersburg folk art craft.
"Poteshny Сraft" in historical and secular outfits, pearl garlands and gold ornaments in the style of palace classics.
Of course,
the figure of Peter the Great, the founder of the city, takes an honorable
place in the decoration.
On the Main
Alley of VDNH visitors are greeted by 89 New Year trees, each of them
representing a region of the country with its folk arts, crafts and traditions.
And the 90th blue spruce symbolizes the RUSSIA EXPO itself.
The Russian leader noted that the ideas born at the Open Dialogue will continue to spread and will ultimately lead to real change.
On the first day, idea pitching sessions were held across four vectors: "Investment in people", "Investment in connectivity", "Investment in technology", and "Investment in the environment".
