The New Year tree of the Tula region is decorated with famous samovars and gingerbread houses
On its fir tree, the Tula region presented everything the region is famous for: the Tula accordion, the renowned Tula gingerbread, the Tula samovar, Filimonov toys, city toys, and Belev lace.
For almost two century history Tula harmonicas and accordions have become one of the symbols of Russia, as well as Tula gingerbread - a delicacy known far beyond the borders of our country.
Historians and confectioners do not know for sure when gingerbread began to be made in Russia. There was a great variety of them - each region has its own recipe, its own flavor and its own fillings. The first gingerbread appeared on the pages of Russian chronicles in 1685 and it was in Tula.
All products were presented as sterilized copies made by the hands of Tula craftsmen.
