Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia Elissan Shandalovich urged his fellow countrymen to support Karelia on the portal "Achievements.RF".

The all-Russian Internet portal "Achievements.RF" contains the major successes and victories of our country, as well as key projects of the regions people can vote for. Among them are 13 contenders from Karelia.

"Karelia certainly has a lot to be proud of! The task is to make the whole country know about it. I urge all residents of the republic to take part in the voting and support our native land!" — Shandalovich appealed to citizens in his social networks.

Now the International Song Festival "Musical Capital" holds the first place. The large-scale event gathered performers and song lovers from all over the country, as well as from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Malaysia and Colombia.

Just a little behind the musical holiday is the unique Museum of the Karelian Front. Here it’s possible to see many wartime artefacts, family relics, exact copies of battle banners, samples of uniforms and equipment — about a thousand items in total.
