An educational and outreach event titled "Encyclopaedia of the Arctic: One-Day Intensive on the Nenets Autonomous Area" will be held on 18 October at the National Centre RUSSIA as part of the Nenets Autonomous Area Days. It will immerse visitors in the region’s atmosphere through the lens of tourism, economy, culture and the personal experiences of experts.

The event’s programme will become a true ticket to the Nenets Autonomous Area — a real journey without leaving Moscow. Visitors will see the Arctic from multiple perspectives and, within a few hours, gain a comprehensive understanding of the Area through different aspects:

— Economy and tourism: learn about the region’s potential and unique routes, such as the one to the settlement of Shoina.

— Culture and traditions: explore local customs and Arctic fashion.

— Personal experience: hear stories and practical tips from speakers, bloggers and travellers.

— Practice: find out how to choose a tour and organise a trip.

The programme includes expert lectures, a film session, open dialogues, and even an intellectual quiz with a draw for a tour to Shoina.

This intensive is a perfect opportunity to get inspired for a journey to the Arctic and receive first-hand information.

The event is free to attend and requires no prior registration.
