Energy, medicine and new technologies: more than 500 thousand guests visited the ATOM pavilion
Half a
million Moscow residents and guests of the capital visited the ATOM pavilion
for less than three months of its work: from November 4, 2023 to January 30,
2024. One of the exposition's tasks is to show that the nuclear industry has
long been not limited to nuclear weapons, construction and nuclear power
plants. It helps develop medicine, new technologies and digital products.
Tours for
visitors of different ages take place daily in the pavilion. About 25% of the
tours are mixed, and they are most popular with families with children.
ATOM also
regularly serves as a platform for educational and business events of various
formats. The pavilion became one of the key venues for the Energy Day at the
RUSSIA EXPO on January 27. On that day, visitors could get to unusual author's
tours. Among other things, a tour of the pavilion for a group of schoolchildren
was conducted by Alexander Novak and Alexey Likhachev, Director General of
Rosatom State Corporation. More than 16.5 thousand people visited ATOM on the
Energy Day alone.
Since its
opening, the pavilion has also hosted the All-Russian Open Laboratory Campaign,
the finals of the All-Russian Science Slam, 114 educational lectures with the
participation of leading Russian scientists and experts, 98 workshops, quizzes
and educational activities for visitors of different ages and families with
children. In addition, ATOM has already hosted 91 events for industry companies
and 28 events of Rosatom's Territory of Culture program.
The ATOM pavilion is an expositional and educational complex with the largest and most modern exposition in Russia dedicated to nuclear energy. It was created with the support of Rosatom State Corporation and is located in the historical center of VDNH - on its Main Alley. The new building was constructed according to a unique architectural project. ATOM has three underground and four above-ground floors, its total area is more than 25 thousand square meters. The exposition of the pavilion is divided into several areas dedicated to different stages of nuclear power development and its latest achievements.
The visit to the pavilion will be interesting for professionals from the nuclear power industry, as well as for schoolchildren, students, families with children and anyone interested in science. Throughout the duration of the RUSSIA EXPO the entry to the pavilion will be free of charge.
