A branch of the National Centre RUSSIA will open in the building of the "Russia" cinema in Sevastopol
In the fall
of 2025, a branch of the National Centre RUSSIA will open in the
"Russia" cinema building in Sevastopol. Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev
shared this news. The branch will serve as a visitor centre for all museums and
points of interest in the city, creating a unified ecosystem across the region.
Visitors will be able to obtain information about all key landmarks and
locations, as well as plan a program to explore the city.
Branches of
the National Centre RUSSIA are being established following the directive of the
President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin. In December, the Governor
of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, presented the project for the Sevastopol
branch to members of the Organizing Committee of the National Centre RUSSIA.
Following the presentation and preliminary selection process, the Sevastopol
branch project was included in the top five branches nationwide.
The branch
will feature a department store offering goods produced in Sevastopol, a
restaurant serving traditional Sevastopol cuisine with an area for gastronomic
masterclasses, an outdoor photo zone, and spaces for exhibitions, business,
educational, and cultural events.
The
centerpiece of the branch will be a modern exposition that highlights the hero
city of Sevastopol and its role in Russian history. The exposition will include
three thematic zones featuring 11 locations, ranging from the heritage museum
of the International RUSSIA EXPO to an immersive cinema, a children's future
play lab, and digital and multimedia panels showcasing Sevastopol as one of the
key regions of the country. The centerpiece of the exhibition will be a model
of Sevastopol in the future.
The
governor emphasized that the cinema will continue operating as part of the
National Centre RUSSIA branch. It will function according to the branch's
schedule in two halls — a large one located on the second floor and a
medium-sized one on the third floor of the building. Film screenings will be
temporarily suspended only during the setup of the branch.
The
National Centre RUSSIA branch in Sevastopol will be the first branch in the
entire Southern Federal District.
