The final of the SHUM award for young media professionals to take place at the National Centre RUSSIA
The National Centre RUSSIA will host the final of the All-Russian Youth SHUM Award. From May 29 to August 17, applications are open for young journalists, bloggers and media professionals from across the country. Participants can select one or more categories and complete the application form on the official award website.
About the award
SHUM is being held for the second time and has already established itself as an important platform for professional development. In 2025, the number of categories increased to 12 — with separate categories now available for student, regional and federal media outlets, as well as for creators of specialised content.
Prize fund and opportunities
The total prize fund amounts to 12 million roubles:
winners in each category will receive 600,000 roubles;
second place — 300,000 roubles;
third place — 100,000 roubles.
In addition to cash prizes, participants will be offered workshops from leading industry experts, blog tours, educational programmes and opportunities for professional networking.
"Thanks to winning the SHUM Award, even more young people joined my project, and it is now reaching more and more regions of our country. We found new partners, and I met interesting and talented young people from all over Russia," said Viktoria Novikova, winner of the "Bright Start" category in 2024.
Entry requirements:
- participant age: 14 to 35 (depending on the category);
- both individual and team entries are accepted;
- participation is free of charge.
The awards ceremony will take place on October 25, 2025, at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The All-Russian Youth Media and Journalism Award SHUM is organised by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and the Government of the Kaliningrad Region, represented by the SHUM Youth Centre.
The award is held as part of the national project "Youth and Children" under the federal project "Russia — Land of Opportunity."
