Minister of Industry and Trade opened INNOPROM 2025 with a visit to the Department Store of the National Centre RUSSIA
On July 7 in Yekaterinburg, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov officially launched the international industrial exposition INNOPROM 2025, beginning with a tour of the exposition of the National Centre RUSSIA — the "Department Store".
The minister familiarised himself with the concept of the stand, which features products from nearly 100 manufacturers representing 46 regions of the country. The Department Store’s format became a visual embodiment of a modern perspective on Russian traditions and the culture of folk crafts.
The exposition of the Department Store is organised into the following thematic product categories:
• "Groceries" — regional brands and flavours familiar from childhood;
• "Accessories" — designer jewellery and wardrobe items incorporating traditional motifs;
• "Folk crafts and handicrafts" — handmade items with unique paintings and patterns;
• "Cosmetics" — natural products created using old recipes combined with modern technologies.
The central art object of the exposition — a vividly designed kaleidoscope-style display case reminiscent of a living-room cabinet from childhood, with each section dedicated to products from a specific Russian region — attracted particular attention from the minister. According to Irina Tesleva, Head of the Regional Cooperation Department of the National Centre RUSSIA, the pavilion is designed in the style of a traditional Russian home, symbolising warmth and hospitality:
"You can see elements of lemekh — traditional wooden shingles that symbolise the protection of the home. Inside, there is everything that creates a cosy atmosphere: tableware, household items, carpets, lace, and of course, treats and sweets."
A separate display features a unique clothing collection with quotes from the President of Russia and the branding elements of the National Centre RUSSIA.
All items on display can not only be viewed but also purchased directly at the stand.
The Department Store project was launched on November 4, 2024 and has already brought together more than 160 manufacturers from 60 regions of the country. In 2025, the opening of regional branches is planned, with the first one to open this autumn in Vladivostok.
INNOPROM 2025 runs from July 7 to 10. The organisers of the exposition are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region.
