The "Sports Russia" platform has been launched at the International RUSSIA EXPO - it is located next to Pavilion No. 61. Here you can play table tennis, hockey and football, there is a basketball hoop and a football goal.

The platform was opened with an exercise conducted by Yesenia Stolyarova, two-time European champion and World Cup winner in kettlebell lifting. The exercises will be held here every day - famous athletes will take part in them.

"Engaging in sports affects the quality of life and health. In addition, it is the creation of new social connections. Therefore, physical activity in any manifestation is necessary - it gives positivity and the right attitude. Do sports - it is always cool," said Yesenia Stolyarova.

The program was continued by a masterclass from Merited Master of Sports of Russia, European and Russian basketball champion Alexei Savrasenko and his wife, Master of Sports of International Class in rhythmic gymnastics, European champion of the Russian national team, winner of World Cups and international tournaments as part of the Russian national team - Elizaveta Alexandrova. Athletes born in 2013 from the basketball sports school of Olympic reserve from Mytishchi took part in it.

"The most important thing is for everyone to get a great mood from sports. We brought it with us - and we charge people with positive emotions," said Alexei Savrasenko.

Elizaveta Aleksandrova emphasized the importance of doing sports.

"Doing sports is very important - especially in the Year of the Family. Throughout the year we hold different masterclasses and trainings for children and adults in Russian cities. We are very happy to have this opportunity," added Elizaveta Aleksandrova.

All participants and athletes who took part in the masterclasses were presented with unique "Sports Russia" medals and memorable gifts. Also, during the day there was a children's entertainment program at the site, and everyone could win souvenirs from the Exposition in interactive contests.

The sports program at the RUSSIA EXPO started on April 20. It was opened by a record-breaking exercise, which became the largest in the country's history - 5,773 people took part in it. In addition, the ambassadors of the sports program were introduced then. They were Vyacheslav Fetisov, State Duma deputy, two-time Olympic hockey champion, Oleg Saitov, boxer, Nikita Nagorny, Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics, Svetlana Romashina, 7-time Olympic champion in synchronized swimming, Rima Batalova, 13-time Paralympic champion in athletics, and Alexei Smertin, former captain of the Russian national football team, Olympic champions in cross-country skiing Alexander Legkov and Nikita Kryukov, world champion in sambo Karina Cherevan, President of the International Boxing Association Umar Kremlev, three-time Olympic champion, three-time world champion, nine-time European champion, Merited Master of Sports in synchronized swimming Maria Kiseleva, two-time Olympic champion in figure skating Evgeny Plushenko.
