The chief Ded Moroz of the country received letters from the residents of the Moscow region
At the stand of the Vologda region, the chief Ded Moroz of the country received letters from the Ded Moroz's Post. They were collected in the parks of the Moscow region within the framework of the project Winter in the Moscow Region.
The meeting of young residents of the region with the winter wizard was held in the traditional way: children shared their cherished dreams and wishes with Grandpa, sang and danced, recited poems, and received New Year gifts.
"Russian Ded Moroz is the Vologda Ded Moroz, and the Vologda region is the territory of the holiday, the New Year, magic, mythology and the connection of the bylina epic with the present and the future", — emphasized Acting Governor of the Vologda region Georgy Filimonov.
Not only children, but also adults wrote letters to the New Year wizard. Moreover, in their messages they not only ask for gifts and miracles for themselves, but also send greeting cards, drawings, poems, and also wish Ded Moroz and his granddaughter Snegurochka happiness and health.
"I would like to thank the Vologda region for the warm welcome and for the fact that the children of the Moscow region were able to give letters to the real Ded Moroz. We have been collecting these letters for quite a long time, this year we have organized more than a hundred Ded Moroz's Posts in more than 77 parks. Of course, we were not able to hand out all the letters today, as we collected more than nine thousands of them. Therefore, most of them will be taken by reindeer to the residence of Ded Moroz in Veliky Ustyug", — said the director of ANO Moscow Regional Directorate for Parks Development Ksenia Vasilyeva.
After meeting with the children, Ded Moroz went for a tour around the stand of the Moscow region. The benign wizard liked the exposition very much. He promised that it would be bright, cheerful and crowded until the end of the RUSSIA EXPO.
A press conference dedicated to the launch of the unique educational programme for talented young teenagers, the Young Journalists School, will be held on 13 January at the National Centre RUSSIA.
