The main Ded Moroz of the country celebrated his birthday at the RUSSIA EXPO
On
November 18, the country's main winter wizard - Ded Moroz from Veliky Ustyug -
celebrated his birthday on the Main Street Stage of the International RUSSIA
EXPO. The Days of Ded Morozes (the
Russian analog of Santa Claus) will be held at the Exposition every
weekend from November 18 to December 24.
Ded
Moroz from Veliky Ustyug decided to celebrate his birthday at the Russia Expo
for a reason. "And where else to celebrate it? After all, here we have the
whole country as in the palm of our hand! You can get around it, not in an
hour, of course, but in two days for sure. That's why all my friends are here,
so we'll celebrate here. And in the evening I will light the Christmas tree at
home - in Ustyug," - said the wizard.
Visitors
of all ages at the RUSSIA EXPO were happy to take pictures with the guest from
Veliky Ustyug, because children always remain children, even if they have grown
up long ago. Then on the Main Street Stage of the Exposition a New Year's Eve
show performance with bright musical numbers, an exciting quest with sweet
prizes, outdoor games of dexterity and skill took place.
"All
guests of our Exposition have already noticed that the RUSSIA EXPO is starting
to prepare for Russia's favorite holiday - New Year, and today we celebrate the
birthday of Ded Moroz, who came to us from Veliky Ustyug. We celebrate it with
a big company of Ded Morozes, Snegurochkas (Snow Maidens) and Snowmen. Next, we
will continue to celebrate the days of other Ded Morozes. For example, tomorrow
will be a big holiday - the birthday of the Udmurt Father Frost - Tol
Babai," - said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the ANO «Directorate
of the Exhibition of Achievements "Russia"».
The New
Year's Eve mood was created by the procession of an orchestra of Ded Morozes,
Snow Maidens, drummers and snowmen, accompanied by the main Ded Moroz of
Russia, who marched from the Arch of the Main Entrance of VDNH to Pavilion No.
1.
The International RUSSIA EXPO is the most important achievements of the country gathered in one place. During the whole time of the Exposition, guests are welcomed with cultural and entertainment events, a rich business and educational program. The expositions of 89 Russian regions, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations will be presented to the visitors.
The exposition is open Tuesday through Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The most convenient time to visit is in the morning and weekdays, but the exposition is also open to everyone on weekends. Admission to all expositions and events is free of charge.
Registration has opened for the III International Symposium "Inventing the Future", which will be held on 12–13 November 2026 at the National Centre RUSSIA.
On 3 August, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, made a working visit to the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
