Year of Peoples’ Unity of at the National Centre RUSSIA to open with the marathon "Russia — a Family of Families"
The
large-scale marathon "Russia — a family of families" will bring
together more than 2,900 representatives of different peoples from 89 regions,
around 1,000 participants from youth projects, and more than 50 foreign guests
on 5 February at the National Centre RUSSIA. The event will mark the launch of
the Year of Unity of the Peoples of the Russian Federation. The focus will be
on the uniqueness of the Russian Federation as a state where hundreds of
nationalities live as one family. The opening of the marathon will be attended
by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Tatyana Golikova. The
organiser of the event is the Russian society Znanie.
The
educational project is aimed at strengthening unity, interethnic harmony, and
mutual understanding among the peoples of Russia. It will highlight that
cultural and linguistic diversity enriches the country and represents an
advantage in an era of geopolitical change.
The
marathon will feature speeches by public officials, Heroes of Russia,
outstanding athletes, and representatives of culture and the arts. Among the
invited lecturers are the Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation,
Chairman of the Russian Military Historical Society, Chairman and First
Secretary of the Union of Writers of Russia, Vladimir Medinsky; Rector of the
Vaganova Ballet Academy, People’s Artist of Russia Nikolai Tsiskaridze;
Director of the A. V. Vishnevsky National Medical Research Centre of Surgery of
the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Amiran Revishvili;
Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics, Honoured Master of Sports of the
Russian Federation Artur Dalaloyan; two-time Olympic silver medallist, two-time
World Champion and two-time European Champion Yevgenia Medvedeva; two-time
Olympic champion, six-time World Champion and five-time European Champion in
freestyle wrestling Abdulrashid Sadulaev; UFC Bantamweight Champion, fighter of
the Archangel Michael club Petr Yan; Acting Deputy Minister of Regional and
Information Policy of the Orenburg region, Hero of Russia Nursultan
Mussagaleyev; Director of the Department for Patriotic Work of the Russian
society Znanie, Hero of Russia Baldan Tsydypov; medical nurse of the 1220th
Motor Rifle Regiment of the 3rd Motor Rifle Division of the 20th Guards Combined
Arms Army of the Moscow Military District, Hero of Russia Lyudmila Bolilaya,
and many others.
The
marathon will also announce the dates and open registration for the Tavrida.ART
festival. The largest event in Russia dedicated to young art will be held for
the eighth time this year and will traditionally serve as a platform uniting
culture, art, and creativity from across the country. During the presentation
of the festival, audiences will immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the
event and learn why they should travel to Crimea in the summer. The headliner
of the presentation will be the band "Cossacks Make Hits "
("Kozaki Delayut Khity").
The
cultural programme will include performances by ethno-pop artists, including
Mia Boyka, Ay Yola, and Miravi. Creative, sports, and culinary master classes
led by well-known experts will also take place. Among the invited masters are
World Champion in the light heavyweight division under the WBA, IBO, IBF, WBO
and The Ring versions Dmitry Bivol, as well as soloists of the ensembles
"Alan", "Yaberena Numgi", "Toloka", and others.
Celebrity guests will take part in applied master classes, including theatre
and film actor and television presenter Yegor Beroyev, theatre and film actor
and People’s Artist of Russia Alexander Oleshko, and others.
The
marathon will feature screenings of documentary films about the nature,
culture, and history of Altai, the Russian North, and Kamchatka. A folk
literature library will be open, presenting a collection of works by
outstanding writers of different peoples. In the Gastronomic Rows, the culinary
traditions of the peoples of Russia will be presented by a team of chefs from
the federal project "Gastronomic Map of Russia", led by the project’s
author, Government Prize laureate in tourism Yekaterina Shapovalova. Everyone
will be able to sample pancakes, soups, pies, dumplings, and sweets of various
peoples. A large-scale flash mob, the "Friendship Round Dance", with
participants representing dozens of nationalities, will become a living symbol
of unity.
The
marathon is organised in partnership with the Ministry of Science and Higher
Education of the Russian Federation, Rosmolodezh, the National Centre RUSSIA,
the House of the Peoples of Russia, the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs of
Russia, and the Presidential Council for Interethnic Relations.
Modernising existing facilities and launching new production sites are among the key priorities of the Government of the Republic of Karelia.
A pre-premiere screening of the film "Krasavitsa" ("Beauty") was held at the National Centre RUSSIA.
The Dulevo Porcelain Factory Museum is a place that brings together an exceptionally rich collection of items produced at the factory.
