Guests of the RUSSIA EXPO joined the large-scale celebration of Russia Day
On June 12, at the International RUSSIA EXPO near the Main Arch of VDNH, the celebration of Russia Day was solemnly launched. The large-scale cultural program was opened by the performance of the "Drum Boom" show band of drummers from Samara, organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge".
"Russian Day is, of course, our number one event, meaning it's not just a celebration for today but a celebration for the whole year. We wish all residents of Moscow, the region, and our entire vast country happiness, health, prosperity, success in life, and everything to be very, very good", said the leader of the "Drum Boom" ensemble, educator Ivan Kirzon.
Despite the fact that the "Drum Boom" collective, consisting of thirty members, arrived at the Exposition not in full force, the performance was bright and memorable. The young drummers also engaged the audience in an exciting interactive session, which concluded with a joint performance of a drum composition.
Vera Filatova, who came to Moscow from the Orenburg region, shared her impressions of the celebration: "A wonderful performance, a wonderful day, and even the weather didn't disappoint! Most of all, we are proud of our people, traditions and culture in Russia. We know about culture firsthand; my daughter recently returned from a folk dance competition, where they won the Grand Prix, so our culture means everything to us. We wish Russia stability, peace, tranquility, and prosperity!"
The large-scale program to celebrate Russia Day includes numerous concerts, mini-expositions, masterclasses, theatrical processions and other interesting events for the whole family. In Pavilion No. 75 "Regions of Russia", the guests will enjoy a bright dance flash mob "Russia without Borders", which anyone can join. During the day, festive flash mobs will also take place at the stands of the regions, and a mass round dance organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge" will unite people of different nationalities. The festive program will end with a musical concert "To You, Russia!".
The International RUSSIA EXPO showcases the country's most significant achievements all in one place. Throughout the duration of the Exposition, guests can enjoy cultural events, a rich business and educational program.
