Pavilion No. 75 hosted the first screening of the "Films about the Main Things" series. The guests saw the film "Planet of Storms" by Soviet director Pavel Klushantsev. The screening partner is Gosfilmfond - the main archive and keeper of Russian films.

"In 1961, Yuri Gagarin gave us the future in which the world still lives today. But he was not alone: the future was also given by our other compatriots, such as Pavel Klushantsev. He influenced all science fiction; his genius was recognized by the world's leading directors. We should appreciate such people - there are a lot of them in our country. We need to talk about their work and art, to remind ourselves every day that we live in the best country on the planet!" said Natalia Virtuozova, Director General of the RUSSIA EXPO.

The plot of the movie tells about a space expedition to Venus, the heroes of which will have to face a variety of challenges. The movie is particularly interesting for a set of innovative special effects developed by the director and his team.

"Once we gave the world a very important thing - space. We mastered it not only in design bureaus and orbital stations, but also on the pages of books and in movies. Our cinematography created films that became events not only for the national science fiction, but also for the world," emphasized the head of literary projects of the Russian State Library for Youth, writer, historian of literature and cinema, poet and musician Evgeny Kharitonov.

After the screening, the guests exchanged their opinions about the movie and asked questions related to the filming of pictures in the sci-fi genre and its development.

The next screening as part of the "Films about the Main Things" project at the Exposition will be held on May 4. The audience will see the science fiction feature film "Moscow - Cassiopeia" directed by Richard Viktorov. Actors Irina Savina and Anna Viktorova, daughter of the director of the film, will take part in the screening and subsequent discussion of the movie. The moderator of the meeting will be Evgeny Kharitonov.
