"Speak like Matusovsky": the audience highly appreciated the poetic meeting at the National Centre RUSSIA
A meeting "Speak like Matusovsky", dedicated to the 110th birthday of the outstanding Soviet poet, left vivid impressions among the guests of the National Centre RUSSIA. The guests noted the special atmosphere and high quality of organization of the event.
"We literally hung on every word of the lecturer, writing down interesting facts about the poet. Such events — with lively poetry, wonderful artists and deep content — should be held regularly so that as many people as possible can attend them," shared Irina from the city of Odintsovo.
A special feature of the evening was the active involvement of the audience in the creative process. The guests discovered familiar lines in a new way, feeling their modern sound.
"I really like the very atmosphere of the National Centre RUSSIA, and, of course, I like Matusovsky's work and songs based on his poems. Everything was just gorgeous: the design, the text, the presenter, and the artists. A special thing was the volunteers who guided us everywhere and showed us the way. For me, such an attitude is very pleasant and important. It was great when we all read poetry together in the finale. I think, a little more, and we would have sung "Moscow Nights" in unison. And it is also very important that all this is done on a pro bono basis," said Natalia from Yekaterinburg.
The mass reading of Matusovsky's poems, which ended the evening, became a symbolic act of unity through the poetic word.
"Usually at such events you just sit and listen, but here we have all become part of the same action. When you read Matusovsky together with hundreds of other people, you realize that these poems really unite the country," Nikolai from Moscow remarked.
The author's project "Masterpieces. The Best in Russia" was created by the National Centre RUSSIA to raise the population's level of culture, to cause a sense of pride in the achievements of the country, and strengthen family traditions through art. The "World of Poetry" cycle, as part of the project, introduces the visitors to Russia's literary heritage.

From 14 to 19 October, the National Centre RUSSIA will host a thematic week dedicated to the Nenets Autonomous Area.
It is the world’s largest educational science project and one of the key events of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia.
