Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev to present the region’s development priorities at the National Centre RUSSIA
The National Centre RUSSIA continues its cycle of meetings with heads of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation "Platform of the Future: Region 2030. 100 Steps". Regional leaders will speak about both the first steps towards a prosperous future and the strategic objectives aimed at improving people’s quality of life. On 9 September, the development priorities of the Voronezh region will be presented by Governor Alexander Gusev.
The Voronezh region is a steadily developing area of great importance for the country. The region is a major producer and supplier of agricultural products and food.
Its well-developed industrial sector includes enterprises in mechanical engineering, radio electronics, the aircraft industry, as well as plants manufacturing mining and processing equipment and bridge structures.
Important federal transport corridors pass through the region, including motorways and railway lines.
Conditions for scientific research and the introduction of innovations have been created in the region, and a programme is being implemented to support talented students and young scientists.
At the meeting at the National Centre RUSSIA, Alexander Gusev, Governor of the Voronezh Region, will present the strategy for the region’s integrated development. Particular attention will be given to easing human labour through the introduction of automation and robotics at industrial facilities and in agriculture, as well as the use of unmanned technologies.
The head of the region and his co-speakers will highlight the potential of the creative industries in the region, which have become an important part of its economy, and their contribution to the cultural and social development of society.
Caring for the health of citizens is a top priority for the Government of the Voronezh Region. The speakers will present policies for preserving the nation and medical innovations applied in the region. Environmental well-being in the Voronezh region will also be an important part of the discussion with the governor.
Projects for the improvement of urban public spaces and the construction of sports facilities will be presented during the dialogue with the governor.

Meetings with heads of Russian regions are held as part of the large-scale regional programme of the National Centre RUSSIA — "Platform of the Future: Region 2030. 100 Steps". Its implementation is carried out in accordance with Russia’s national development goals, defined by the President, and based on the principle of prioritising the interests of each individual, their self-realisation and improving quality of life.
Every Monday at the National Centre RUSSIA is traditionally devoted to maintenance work, and therefore the venue is closed to visitors on these days.
