Bright wedding ceremony, treats and achievements: Kursk Region Day at the RUSSIA EXPO
Concerts,
world record, tastings and much more. The Day of the Kursk Region was held at
the RUSSIA EXPO. The region presented its achievements, original culture,
talked about the prospects and implementation of national programs.
"In
recent years, the Kursk region has achieved significant results in a number of
areas, including agriculture, industry, tourism, education and science. An
important role in this was played by the specialized national projects
initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. We are grateful to the federal
center for its support", - said Governor Roman Starovoit.
The
cultural program includes concerts by bands from the region, the play Arc of
Fire. Steel and film screenings devoted to the Battle of Kursk. Visitors are
welcomed by famous actors and artists, Olympic champions - natives of the Kursk
region.
The region's stand hosts a large number of masterclasses and interactive activities, a photo exposition and a drawing of vouchers for the national tourist route Nightingales and Iron. Visitors can witness Ivan Shurupov's new world record for standing on nails with weights. Another bright event of the day is the reconstruction of a wedding in the folk traditions of the Kursk province. And the Pavilion House of Russian Cuisine hosted a tasting of delicious national dishes.
The RUSSIA EXPO is open from Tuesday to Sunday, Monday is a technical day. The most convenient time to visit the expositions is in the mornings and on weekdays, but the exposition is open to everyone on weekends as well. The expositions of 89 regions of Russia, leading federal departments, corporations and public organizations are presented to the visitors. All expositions and events are free of charge.
On 28 November, the final stage of the International Forum "New Philosophy of Upbringing" began at the National Centre RUSSIA.
