"The perfect place to raise the level of patriotism": renowned artists performed at a concert in the National Centre RUSSIA
A large
festive concert, "Our Victory — For All Time," took place at the
National Centre RUSSIA. It was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory
in the Great Patriotic War.
The event
was a tribute to the heroes of the war years. On this evening, before the
audience, among whom were veterans of the Great Patriotic War, famous artists
and groups performed: the choir of the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the
Russian Army named after A. V. Alexandrov, the State Academic Russian Folk
Choir named after M. E. Pyatnitsky, Sergei Volchkov, Polina Gagarina, Olga
Kormukhina, Alexander Panayotov, ST, Alexei Petruhin, Valentina Biryukova,
Sergei Pavlovsky, Anna Bolshova and others. They performed songs from the war
years, compositions by contemporary authors, as well as presented new creative
collaborations specially created for this event.
"A
stunning, breathtaking event with its beauty and scale, very important and
right. It seems to me that such songs should be performed not only on May 9,
but at all times, because, unfortunately, such compositions are not written
nowadays — this is our main musical heritage. It is very pleasing that today we
honour the memory of our grandmothers and grandfathers and sing victory
songs," said Alexander Panayotov.
The singer
noted that he really liked the National Centre RUSSIA. He congratulated
everyone on the great holiday.
"I am
glad that there is a centre where such concerts can be held. There is a
stunning stage here, excellent equipment, great technical organisation. I was
delighted today, to be honest, I did not expect it to be so beautiful, so
grand, emotions are overwhelming. It is a great honour to congratulate all of
us on Victory Day. This is truly an amazing, bright holiday. Let us always
remember this, let us love each other," emphasised Alexander Panayotov.
Musician
and singer Timur Vedernikov also performed on the stage of the National Centre
RUSSIA.
"Today
it is very important to raise the level of real, genuine patriotism and our
national self-consciousness, and the National Centre RUSSIA is the perfect
place, the ideal epicentre of events that can do this. There are stunning
expositions, an amazing concert hall. Come here with your children. I think
everyone will be interested," noted Timur Vedernikov.
The
musician spoke about the emotions he experienced at the concert.
"It
was an amazing concert, I did not expect such scale. It is very good in terms
of organisation, the selection of songs, and the overall atmosphere. Probably,
today I felt that Victory Day had come — and to a great extent thanks to this
event. Such concerts are important to be held everywhere because a new
generation is growing up. My son was also at this concert, and for him it was
that very moment when, it seems to me, he understood what Victory Day is,"
shared Timur Vedernikov.
