The immersive exposition "Enlightenment: Big Changes" opened at the International RUSSIA EXPO
The exposition "Enlightenment: Big Changes" is dedicated to the evolution of the education system from the Soviet period to the present day. Visitors can see how our schools and kindergartens have changed over time and learn what opportunities are open to children and young people today.
Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov participated in the opening ceremony of the exposition.
"This wonderful exposition shows the evolution of our education from the past to the future, the changes that took place in it, how we went from the Soviet ABC-book to the modern textbook "History of Russia", — said Tatyana Golikova. She added that the exposition shows the development of the Russian education system through experience and correction of past mistakes in order to move forward.
"In January, such expositions will be opened in all "Russia — My History" parks, schoolchildren will learn about this exposition in history and geography classes at the "Conversations About Important Things" sessions. The achievements of our country, which are reflected in this exposition, will be included in the updated textbook of social studies", — said Sergey Kravtsov.
The Minister of Education emphasized that the profession of teacher remains popular in our country.
The exposition is divided into 19 thematic zones: the Soviet education system, the difficult 90s and the challenges of the XXI century. It is continued by the areas "Kindergarten" and "School" with thematic "classrooms" and developmental space for children of different ages. Everyone is welcome to write letters to their teachers and mentors as part of the "Thank you to the teacher" campaign.
