Infrastructure for people and energy of thousand lakes: projects of the Urals macroregion were presented at the Exposition
Unique
healing lakes in the Kurgan region, industrial clusters in the Sverdlovsk
region, modern living spaces, and tourist opportunities were unveiled by the
participants of the presentation "Space of the Future: the Ural-Siberian
Macroregion" at the RUSSIA EXPO.
Daniil
Volman, Deputy Head of the Architecture Department of the Kurgan Region
Construction Department, spoke about a large-scale infrastructure project - the
Zaozerny macrodistrict in the city of Kurgan: "The main task of this
project is infrastructure for people. The key to success associated with the
development of residential neighborhoods, macrodistricts, large residential
areas is, first of all, urban planning potential reflected in the prospects of
land plots for housing construction, availability of primary utility
infrastructure and its surplus to start construction".
According
to Daniil Volman, the project of complex development on the shore of Lake
Chernoye will be a logical continuation of the development of this district of
the regional centre. Zaozerny will turn from a sleeping area into a place of
comfortable full life.
Alexander
Shmykov, head of the intellectual games club of Zauralye, presenting his
project, announced that a specialized session for eighth-grade students called
"Safe World" has been created on the basis of the regional centre
"Vanguard".
"Previously,
there was no such centre where eighth-graders could be taught and instilled
with the skills to act in various dangerous situations. And today
schoolchildren have such an opportunity to become participants of "Safe
World" sessions. We have a "Vanguard" centre, which has an
excellent infrastructure. It was established in 2021 on the initiative of the
Governor. The project "Safe World" is a series of sessions, with the
basis of its program being the formation, development and consolidation of children's
safe behavior skills," stressed Alexander Shmykov.
There are
almost three thousand lakes in the Kurgan region, and many of them are not only
natural monuments, but also have therapeutic properties. Ekaterina Pankova,
Director of the Tourism Centre of the Kurgan Regional Museum Association, told
how to have a good and healthy rest in the region with the tourist project
"Energy of Thousand Lakes".
"The
Kurgan region has a powerful potential in the sphere of event, educational and
industrial tourism. But the abundance of lakes, of course, attracts first of
all fans of recreational and tourist recreation. 15 lakes of the region can be
used for recovery. We possess 16 springs of mineral water, which is not
inferior in its properties to the waters of famous world resorts. There are
also four springs with therapeutic mud in the region. Top Kurgan sanatoriums
were built on the basis of these natural resources," said Ekaterina
Pankova.
The
Sverdlovsk region also presented its development projects: the infrastructure
project "Increasing the Area of the Special Economic Zone of Industrial
Production Type 'Titanium Valley', the tourist project 'Big Ural Trail' and the
youth project 'Medical Innovation Cluster 'Academic'".
