Prospects of urban planning and infrastructural development were discussed at the forum “Urban Planning Week: Innovation and Development”, organized by the University of the Ministry of Construction NIISF RAASN with the support of the Ministry of Construction of Russia.

The forum began with a dialogue platform, where leading experts of the Ministry of Construction of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, FAI “FCS”, NIISF RAASN, SBI Agency for Industrial Development of Moscow, SBI “Institute of Spatial Planning of the Republic of Tatarstan” and other organizations in the format of live communication shared their vision of urban development and best practices, discussed the prospects and challenges of innovative development in urban planning, the role of public policy in stimulating sustainable and innovative urban environments, the integration of digital technologies in the urban development of the city, the role of urban planning in the development of the city, the role of the state in the development of sustainable and innovative urban environments, and the integration of digital technologies in the development of the city.

Irek Faizullin, Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, sent a welcome letter to the participants of the event, emphasizing the importance of discussing new trends and technologies in urban planning.

Alexander Lomakin, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, welcomed the participants and noted: “Our time is characterized by significant economic, social and technological challenges. At such times it is especially important to join forces and share best practices. This forum provides a unique platform for leading industry professionals to share knowledge and ideas that will help us maintain leadership in urban planning.

Maria Sinichich, Director of the Department of Integrated Territorial Development of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, took part in the binary interactive session “Territories of the Future: Strategies and Practices of Integrated Territorial Development”, which focused on integrated approaches to ITD to stimulate economic growth and improve the quality of life, and answered questions from the forum audience together with Svetlana Bachurina, assistant to V.I. Resin, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, executive secretary of the Expert Council on Construction, Construction Industry and Shared-equity Construction Issues under the State Duma Committee on Construction, Housing and Utilities, Doctor of Economics, Academician of the International Academy of Information, Information Processes, and Technology.

Leading experts shared their visions and the latest developments in the format of live communication.

The forum “Town Planning Week: Innovation and Development” will last until May 31 inclusive and will gather more than 2500 participants, including more than 750 in person at the RUSSIA EXPO.

On May 29, the event “From Concept to Implementation: Master Plans and General Plans in Integrated Territorial Development” will take place, on May 30 - “Integration of Digital Modeling in Urban Planning and Development”, on May 31 - “Pricing and Cost Estimating: Effective Resource Management in Urban Planning”.
