Foreign students of Moscow’s universities were given a tour of the RUSSIA EXPO
Dmitry Polikanov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo, hosted
a tour of Pavilion No. 75 "Regions of Russia" for foreign students.
Students of MGIMO, MSU, RUDN learned about the achievements and tourist
potential of Russian regions, as well as about the activities of the
international youth cooperation program "New Generation".
Together with the deputy head of Rossotrudnichestvo, the
young people toured the expositions of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Altai and
Tatarstan Republics, Altai and Primorye regions, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and
Orenburg regions.
"Moscow is one of our base cities where we bring
delegations under the "New Generation" program and from where they
usually start their journey to other regions of Russia. Every year we bring
several delegations to Moscow," said Dmitry Polikanov.
At each point of the route, the deputy head of
Rossotrudnichestvo spoke about the activities of the international youth
cooperation program "New Generation". Every year Rossotrudnichestvo
invites about 1000 young people from different countries to Russia, who get
acquainted with our country and participate in thematic events.
"Last year we organized RUS_SVET in Vladivostok — a
festival for creative young people, for designers, musicians, artists and
dancers. It gathered people not only from Russian regions, but also young
professionals from East and Southeast Asia, India and other countries. This
year we are going to organize it in Yakutia, which occupies about a third of
Russia's territory. Yakutia is one of the coldest regions in Russia, but we are
going to organize the festival in summer. They say the following about Yakutia:
if you want to understand Yakutia, come there in winter, and if you want to
love Yakutia, come there in summer," said the deputy head of
Rossotrudnichestvo.
At the end of the tour, the students solidified their new
knowledge with the help of a small quiz. Dmitry Polikanov presented the winner
with a branded sweatshirt and a shopper from the Russian Society
"Knowledge".
MEPhI Rector Vladimir Shevchenko also joined the educational
program "Excursion with Knowledge". He conducted an excursion in the
Atom pavilion, where he introduced schoolchildren and students to the nuclear
industry of our country.
The educational program "Excursion with Knowledge"
is held as part of the International RUSSIA EXPO in Moscow at VDNH. Every month
more than 20 exclusive author's guided tours are organized, led by outstanding
people from among the lecturers of the Russian Society "Knowledge":
scientists, athletes, public and state figures, masters of culture and art. The
route of each excursion is unique, interconnected with the lecturer's sphere of
activity and reflects their view on the achievements of modern Russia.
Participants of the excursions can not only listen, but also ask questions in
order to understand the topic as deeply as possible.
In addition, audio-guide tours, prepared by the Russian
Society "Knowledge" in partnership with the program "More than a
Trip", are available for an independent informative walk around the
Exposition. And guests with children will be interested in family author's
tours of the Russian Society "Knowledge" developed in partnership
with the Soyuzmultfilm movie studio.
The first event to be held at the Russia National Centre, which is being established by the order of President Vladimir Putin, will be the International Science Fiction Symposium and Exhibition "Inventing the Future". The symposium will take place from November 4 to 6.
Tomorrow, the International RUSSIA EXPO will conclude its work. From November 2023 to July 2024, it was visited by more than 18 million guests.
Every day, for eight months, the RUSSIA EXPO delighted guests and gave unforgettable emotions.
