HSE and EISR research: about 40% of visitors to the RUSSIA EXPO are residents of the regions
About 40% of visitors come to the International RUSSIA EXPO from the regions. A little less - about 37% of the total number of visitors - are residents of Moscow, 22% - residents of the Moscow region. About 1% are foreigners. This is evidenced by the results of a joint sociological survey conducted by the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) and the Expert Institute for Social Research (EISR) from November 15 to January 28. More than 6,500 people took part in it.
In addition, more than half of the visitors to the Exposition are under 35 years old, said Ivan Gruzdev, Director of the Center for Sociology of Higher Education at the Institute of Education at the Higher School of Economics, who led the study.
"If we talk about age, 51% are young people - people under 35, of whom 14% are children under 18. At the same time, there are also about 7-8% representatives of the third age. So I would say that it is difficult to speak here about any category of people who visit the RUSSIA EXPO. Rather, people out of each category reach the Exposition and visit it," said Ivan Gruzdev.
At the same time, the share of those who learn about the Exposition from "word of mouth" is increasing - colleagues share it at work, while friends do the same. And many people come with their friends and parents, he noted. The main motive for visiting is still personal interest - 94%. 9 out of 10 guests are highly likely to recommend visiting the exposition to others.
The ratings given by visitors to the exposition are also growing, noted the director of the Center. This can be attributed to an increase in the quality of the expositions presented. "The share of those who believe that the real impressions of the Exposition exceeded expectations has grown by 15% to 68%, which is quite a lot," said Ivan Gruzdev.
According to him, the main emotions felt by visitors are joy, delight, pride and interest. At the same time, 98% agree that the RUSSIA EXPO makes them proud of Russia's achievements. In turn, 97% of respondents are sure that they live in one of the most advanced countries after visiting the expositions and stands. The same percentage of people begin to feel part of a large country after visiting the RUSSIA EXPO.
