The science fiction writer from Italy, Roberto Quaglia, visited the expositions "Journey Across Russia" and "The Birth of Scale." This was his second visit to the National Centre RUSSIA. During his first visit, Roberto Quaglia took part as an honorary guest in the International Symposium "Inventing the Future."

The guest from Italy highly appreciated the idea and implementation of the large-scale exposition "Journey Across Russia" presented by the National Centre RUSSIA.

"I was very impressed. At the beginning of the tour, we said that in a few hours we had to cover more than ten thousand kilometres. I realised how vast Russia is. I had already been to your country, but at the 'Journey through Russia' exposition, I discovered and saw everything in one place. Of course, it's very impressive," said Roberto Quaglia.

The writer highlighted the creative representation of the achievements and beauty of all Russian federal districts through interactive exhibits and installations.

"Everything is organised and executed with great talent and creativity. From concept to implementation," summarised Roberto Quaglia after his tour of the "Journey Across Russia" exposition.

Afterwards, the writer visited the architectural exposition "The Birth of Scale."

"I saw a lot here that I did not know before. This exposition has been enlightening for me. What impressed me the most was the ability of the Russian people to create such elegant and magnificent wooden architectural creations without using drawings or plans, starting from scratch, without any aids," said Roberto Quaglia.

He added that the model of the Palace of Soviets left a strong impression on him.

"I saw how grand the Palace of Soviets project was, surrounded by the Stalin-era skyscrapers. It was as if I had entered a parallel universe. An incredible experience," emphasised Roberto Quaglia.

Along with the science fiction writer, sculptor Sara Boltzani also visited the tours of the expositions at the National Centre RUSSIA. Earlier, the artist presented a sculpture to the Russian Ambassador to Italy, Alexei Paramonov, symbolising the friendship between Italy and Russia.

The exposition "Journey Across Russia" covers all federal districts of the country – its culture, natural, and economic landmarks can be explored in an hour and a half. All items are enhanced with modern technologies: virtual reality, video content, and infographics, creating a fully immersive experience.

"The Birth of Scale" exposition includes wooden architecture, stone buildings from the 16th to 19th centuries, experiments from the 1920s, Soviet modernism, architecture in extreme conditions, and modern skyscrapers. It also features unrealised projects that played an important role in the development of domestic architecture.

To visit the free tours of the expositions, prior registration is required. Registration can be done on the website of the National Centre RUSSIA, russia.ru, in the "Events" section.
