At the International RUSSIA EXPO, Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation to the Far Eastern Federal District, met with schoolchildren and college students from new Russian regions as part of the "Excursion with Knowledge" program. The meeting was held in the "Conversation over Tea" format.

"The development of the Far East is being mastered as part of the fulfillment of the instruction of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin. He declared the development of the Far East a national priority in 2013," with these words Yury Trutnev opened the conversation.

Deputy Prime Minister spoke about the peculiarities of the Far Eastern regions and the realization of the large-scale task set by the head of state for the advanced socio-economic development of the entire macroregion.

"We have tried to create competitive conditions in the Far Eastern Federal District to attract business. That is, conditions in which financial resources and investor interest will be focused precisely on the development of the Far East. To this end, a number of federal laws and government acts have been adopted. In fact, a new economic space has emerged in the Far East, and an integral system has been created to manage the development of this territory of our country," he said.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, special attention is paid to improving the quality of life of people in the Far East. Thanks to new enterprises, more than 140 thousand highly qualified jobs have been created. The level of wages is higher than the national average. With the help of the Far Eastern presidential subsidy, social infrastructure is being renewed and created, and urban spaces are being reshaped. A historic chance for such a process will be the fulfillment of the Russian President's instructions on the renovation of 25 Far Eastern cities and the creation of strategic hubs in the Arctic. People are buying housing on preferential Far Eastern and Arctic mortgages, and rental houses are being built. In the Far East and the Arctic you can get free land under the "Hectar" program.

A separate area is attracting young specialists to the Far East. The "Muravyov-Amursky 2030" program has become one of the tools for such work.

"For the Far East to develop faster, it is not enough only to issue new regulations, to remake laws, you need to teach people. In any case, people transform the territory and create new values," said Yury Trutnev.

The "Muravyov-Amursky 2030" program is designed to train a new generation of civil servants - those who will ensure Russia's sustainable economic growth in a highly competitive and complex geopolitical environment. Its tasks include the search, selection, training under a special one-year program, and employment of promising and talented young specialists and managers in the Far East regions or in development institutions of the Far Eastern Federal District for a period of two years. The competition for participation in the program is 83 people per place. Yury Trutnev noted that participation in the program is a good opportunity for Russians to get additional education and build a career in the Far East.

"Development is connected with changes. The government is constantly continuing its work to improve all mechanisms for the development of the Far East. Strategic sessions are held, in which all federal ministries participate. New tools and mechanisms for the economy and social sphere are being developed and implemented," he emphasized.

The results of the development of the Far East and plans for the development of the macroregion are traditionally discussed at the Eastern Economic Forum. According to the Deputy Prime Minister, by 2030 the Far East is expected to attract 10.5 trillion rubles of investment, but the figure is likely to be even higher. Investments of 8.5 trillion rubles have already been secured through binding agreements with investors.

"For us, the Eastern Economic Forum is a working tool. We assume that every year there are some issues that become the most important. The Forum is an opportunity to consult on how to solve these issues in the most effective way, to report to the President the necessary proposals. And this Forum will definitely include such issues as the development of the railroad polygon. The Far East was already a gateway from Europe to Asia, but today the volume of Russian transportation to Asia is increasing dramatically, and we have almost a twofold deficit of transportation capacity. So, we have to develop this, we have to see what the pace of work on the Eastern polygon is. This is a huge, very important work," believes Deputy Prime Minister.

Yury Trutnev also told the children about the Far East's participation in the normalization of life in the new Russian territories in the west of the country. All eleven Far Eastern regions are involved in the restoration work. For this purpose, working groups have been formed by each region. This year it is planned to repair 245 objects of social infrastructure in 24 settlements of the DPR and LPR. Schools, kindergartens, hospitals, sports and cultural facilities are being repaired, and roads are being restored. In addition, cultural ties are being developed between the Far East and the new territories. Doctors, teachers come from the Far East regions to the sponsored cities, humanitarian aid is brought, and various events are held.

"In the new regions, it is not enough just to restore roads and repair schools. It is necessary to create conditions, just like we have created in the Far East, for investments to come there. And this is many times more difficult. Many times I have seen gyms and schools where one part of the building is intact, while the other part is gone. Therefore, building a new enterprise under such conditions is a significant risk. But these risks need to be overcome. We need to find tools and mechanisms that will still be beneficial for investors. Recently, we held a corresponding meeting with the leaders of the new territories and submitted a number of proposals to the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Mikhail Vladimirovich, for consideration," said Yury Trutnev.

The educational program "Excursion with Knowledge" is part of a large-scale educational program that the Russian Society "Knowledge" has developed for the RUSSIA EXPO to give everyone an opportunity to get acquainted with the achievements of our country in various spheres, discuss important issues and prospects for the development of Russia. Every month more than 20 exclusive author's excursions take place at the Exposition as part of the educational program "Excursion with Knowledge". It should be noted that the Russian Society "Knowledge" regularly organizes youth forums, contests and awards in all regions of the Far East, giving young people the opportunity to be heard and contribute to the development of the Far Eastern Federal District.

Before the conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, the children were introduced to the exposition of the regions of the Far East, the Russian Ministry for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic "We are the Far East" in Pavilion No. 75 "Regions of Russia". The tour was conducted by Anatoly Bobrakov, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.

The exposition "We are the Far East" is dedicated to the territories of the district, the development of which was declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin as a national priority of the XXI century. The exposition areas are dedicated to the achievements of the Far East regions in the economic and social spheres, as well as landmark industrial and infrastructure projects.

"The Far East is one of the most promising territories in our country. Neighboring the countries of the Asian economic boom, the region is developing rapidly. That is why I am convinced that young people throughout Russia should pay attention to our Far East. There are opportunities for career and personal development here - new companies are opening, looking for talented employees and are ready to highly reward their labor in financial terms. There are great opportunities to quickly build a career, to buy housing easily and on special terms, to raise children in comfort and at the same time to live within a two-hour radius of the most dynamic and interesting places in the world," said Anatoly Bobrakov, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.

Schoolchildren and students were able to learn about professional, educational and tourist opportunities open to Russians in the Far East.

At the stand of the Kamchatka region participants of the excursion saw a volcanic eruption, the famous Khalaktyrsky beach with black oceanic sand, a rookery of walruses and sea lions, gyrfalcons and peregrine falcons soaring in the sky. At the stand of Yakutia children stood under the sacred tree of life "Aal Luk Mas", were photographed against the background of scattered diamonds, got acquainted with virtual characters of the Olonkho epic. The exposition of the Magadan region surprised the guests with gold extraction factories and fish oil production plants. In the pavilion of the Amur region the children assembled a model of the Angara-A5 rocket, and in the pavilion of the Khabarovsk region they saw a 3D model of the SU-57 fighter jet and a hologram of the SJ-100 airplane. The participants visited a traditional Buryat yurt, "walked" on the Char sands of the Zabaykalsky region and on the "Leopard Trail" of the Primorye region, "magnetized" sand from Iturup Island in the Sakhalin region and saw humpback whales in Chukotka. Schoolchildren and students got acquainted with the Chukchi and Eskimo languages, culture and traditions of the Jewish Autonomous Region.

After the excursion an intellectual quiz was held. The winner, Diana Khizhevskaya, received a commemorative prize from the Russian Society "Knowledge".
