From Lugansk with love: a rare book about Mikhail Matusovsky has been added to the library of the National Centre RUSSIA

The creative evening at the National Centre RUSSIA, named "Speak like Matusovsky" and belonging to the cycle "Masterpieces. The Best in Russia", was attended by a delegation of Lugansk State Academy of Culture and Arts named after Mikhail Matusovsky. The guests greeted other participants of the event, and presented as a gift to the National Centre RUSSIA a book of works by the outstanding Soviet poet. This is an author's edition published by the Academy.

"As part of the celebration of Mikhail Matusovsky's 110th birthday anniversary, our Academy has held a large number of events, one of which was a publication of the collection "Selections". This collection includes both the most famous and lesser-known works of Mikhail Lvovich. On behalf of the rector of our Academy, Valery Leonidovich Filippov, let me give you this book," said Artem Reshetov, Vice-rector for Educational Work at Lugansk State Academy of Culture and Arts named after Mikhail Matusovsky.

Anastasia Zvyagina, Deputy Director General of the National Centre RUSSIA, expressed gratitude for the gift and stressed that the book will take its rightful place in the National Centre RUSSIA.

"We will keep this book in the library of the National Centre RUSSIA as a treasure of our country. It is impossible to create the future without the great names that glorified our Motherland. With the "Speak like Matusovsky" event, we opened a large cycle of programmes dedicated to this greatest poet," Anastasia Zvyagina said.

The author's project "Masterpieces. The Best in Russia" was launched by the National Centre RUSSIA to raise the population's level of culture and a sense of pride in the achievements of the country, and to strengthen family traditions through the art. The "World of Poetry" cycle, as part of it, introduces people to Russia's literary heritage.
