Famous athletes fulfilled children's New Year wishes

The Sport for Everyone pavilion at VDNH hosted a gift-giving event as part of the Kind New Year Tree project.
The participants of the campaign were wards of Moscow charitable organizations: children with disabilities, orphans, and those living in low-income families.
The children who came to the Sport for Everyone pavilion are the ones who wished for sports gifts for the New Year. Many of them dream of becoming professional athletes when they grow up, and some of them have already been practicing for several years. For example, Robiyakhon Boboeva, who dreamed of her own gymnastic baton, necessarily pink in color. Vlada Shilnikova also wished for the same gift. On behalf of the three-time world and European champion Ksenia Polyakova and the director of the ARTBLESK sports store Tatiana Kovyneva, Anastasia Romanova, the head of SVOE:TEAM agency, presented the clubs.
"When the organizers wrote to us and sent us a wish list of children concerning rhythmic gymnastics, we realized that we couldn't help but participate, because the items are ridiculously expensive, and you need a lot of them. Giving this piece is a wonderful story for children during the New Year holidays," said Anastasia Romanova.
The clubs for rhythmic gymnastics went to Arina Aguryanova - the girl has been practicing since she was three years old, and the meeting with Margarita Mamun, Olympic champion in rhythmic gymnastics, gave her additional motivation. "Many people may say that such things should be done quietly, but since I have the opportunity to talk about it, I try to make as many people as possible aware of the charity. It is important to have such a culture, so that people would help and wouldn't be shy to talk about it," Mamun noted.
Little Alexei Lyakhovetsky loves skiing and even trains at the Spartak club. He will become a champion with the help of a device for preparing cross-country skis, the certificate for which was granted by a representative of the ANO Forum "Sport Power.
Stanislav Davydov is one of six children in the family. Responsive and caring, he actively helps his parents around the house, is engaged in swimming and soccer. For the New Year he asked for sports equipment. Dreams come true - the young man received a soccer ball and uniform from the hands of Alexei Smertin, a Russian Cup winner who played for such clubs as Lokomotiv, Dynamo and Chelsea. Alexei Gennadyevich also presented a gift to future star Artemiy Sigayev, who admitted that one day he would like to be on the cover of a sports magazine.
"I think it is not for nothing that the campaign is called Kind New Year Tree. Two boys, one of whom wished for a soccer ball and the other wanted to play for the national team - these guys were in a difficult situation. One of them has health limitations, and since the Russian Football Union now pays great attention to social responsibility in soccer, we give children the opportunity to fulfill their dreams," Alexei Smertin added.
