How to help a director and what aggressive roller skates have to do with it: Daniil Vakhrushev shared his acting secrets
Daniil Vakhrushev, a modest nerd from "P. E.
Teacher" ("Fizruk") and a real punk from "The King and the
Jester", knows how to get into a variety of characters. And gladly shares
his experience with the guests of the Exposition, who would like to try
themselves in the acting profession.
A heartfelt meeting with the famous actor took place at the
RUSSIA EXPO. Young and talented Daniil Vakhrushev easily attracted the audience
with a combination of acting charisma and sincerity. No wonder he was
immediately flooded with questions: about his favorite shoots, professional
difficulties, but the main thing that everyone was interested in was, of
course, the secret of success.
"I advise everyone who wants to become an actor to
accumulate as many new skills and abilities as possible. So I try to invest in
myself and engage in self-development, which I also advise everyone,"
explained the actor.
Daniil admitted that even during the COVID he bought himself
a soldering device and got into the radio hobby, he is also actively engaged in
sports and develops in music, acts as a DJ and does stunts on aggressive roller
skates. By the way, it was the latter hobby that helped him get a role in the
movie "Hockey Dads".
Remembering his favorite shoots, Daniel mentioned the
sensational series "The King and the Jester", where there was a crazy
in a good way and very creative atmosphere. And, talking about the challenges
of the profession, the actor admits that it is very difficult to avoid
professional deformation: you have to experience so many emotions in the movie
that in reality it is difficult to surprise you. And of course, you need to be
ready to play in all weather conditions and stay in tone, even if the shift
lasts 28 hours.
Daniil also talked about how to get to the acting castings
and what to prepare for. From his own experience, the actor gave advice to be
more attentive to details, to study the director's work, to understand as best
as possible the role for which you are going to try out.
"I was once told by my curator at VGIK that a good
artist differs from a bad one by the ability to offer. Although protocol does
not require it, it would be better if you were to prompt the director yourself.
Starting from how exactly your lines should sound and ending with the choice of
clothing, which helps the director to make a decision in your favor, even if he
himself does not notice it," concluded the artist.
He also advised to endear people to yourself, to be kinder
and more sociable, and most importantly - to remain honest with yourself and
strive for perfection, both in the work of an actor and in any business you do.
