An expert discussion "Corporate Training: How to Solve the Challenges of the State and Business" was held at the International RUSSIA EXPO as part of the first Continuing Education Forum organized by the Russian Society "Knowledge" and the Mashuk Knowledge Centre.

Within the framework of the discussion, the participants discussed what tools of employee training are used by various companies and what support the state will provide in improving the qualifications of employees of small and medium-sized businesses, as well as what responsibility corporations have for the moral guidelines of their employees.

One of the issues raised at the session was the entry of Russian youth into the labor market. Alexander Vaino, Head of the Centre for Youth Initiatives of the ANO "Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects", emphasized that youth is one of the main sources of staff replenishment.

"One of the main sources of personnel replenishment is the youth. It is especially important today to talk about popularization of working professions, and statistics confirms it: now more young people go to colleges than to universities. The approximate ratio is 60% to 40%. That is, young people are beginning to realize the benefits of getting a profession early. It is necessary to teach enterprises to attract young people, to introduce useful HR practices, to build individual career trajectories for young employees, so that each of them can imagine what they will be in three years or five years. This task must be solved at the level of enterprises, municipalities and regions," said Alexander Vaino.

The event was also attended by Elena Gerasimova, Director of the Contour.School professional training platform, Ekaterina Ordinova, Head of the Directorate of Educational Projects of "SME Corporation" JSC, and Alexei Grishchenko, Deputy Director General of "Business Environment" JSC (Sber). The session was moderated by Yulia Konstantinova, HR Director of the Russian Society "Knowledge".

The first Continuing Education Forum is taking place at the RUSSIA EXPO on July 2 and 3. The Forum is the country's key platform for discussing current issues of the national system of supplementary education: meanings, challenges and development tools. The mission of the Forum is to become a platform for combining the efforts of government officials, academic community and business in the development of supplementary education on the basis of unity of value orientations and systematic interaction in the interests of Russia's prosperity.
