How to raise a generation capable of shaping the country’s future
As part of the final forum "Community", to be held on 31 October – 1 November at the National Centre RUSSIA, a session titled "Education as a Key Institution of Social Architecture: Transition from a System of Knowledge Transfer to an Ecosystem for the Development of the Individual and Society" will take place.
Participants will discuss the changes already taking place and those still needed in educational policy to ensure that modern education fulfils its main mission — shaping a society capable of self-regulation, cooperation and creation.
The session will be moderated by Chair of the Civic Chamber Commission on Education and Upbringing Natalia Kravchenko. The discussion will bring together leaders of educational organisations, business representatives, social entrepreneurs and other experts.
"In the era of digitalisation and artificial intelligence, it is education that defines the country’s social code — the culture of trust, responsibility and engagement. We will discuss how to raise a generation capable of taking responsibility for the development of the country and the world," said Natalia Kravchenko.
Experts note that the systemic challenge facing education today is to go beyond training and skills development and to become the key institution shaping the social architecture of society and the country as a whole. The quality of human capital, the level of trust and the ability of society to achieve sustainable development depend on the meanings, values and models of interaction that education transmits.
During the discussion, experts will explore who is capable of setting the direction of social development and how to identify and support such people, bringing them together within a shared ecosystem where education becomes a platform for nurturing a new generation of leaders — teachers, cultural figures, engineers, and managers.
The Civic Chamber of Russia celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2025. The final forum "Community" is the key event of the anniversary year. It will be held ahead of National Unity Day, on 31 October – 1 November, in Moscow at the National Centre RUSSIA (14 Krasnopresnenskaya Embankment, Building 18).
The theme of the forum is "Institutions of Civil Society: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow".
Participation is free of charge. To attend in person, participants must register by 27 October.
