The first island branch of the National Centre RUSSIA will open on Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island, a unique territory on the border between Russia and China. The future venue will become an "eastern gateway" to Russia, where visitors will be able to discover the country's regions, culture, traditions, achievements and domestic producers. The concept of the future branch can already be seen in Primorye: a model is on display at the National Centre RUSSIA in Vladivostok.

The branch in the Khabarovsk Territory will become one of the key projects in the transformation of the Russian part of the island. The multi-level building, covering more than 9,000 square metres, will bring together exposition and congress areas, the "Journey Across Russia" space, a gastronomic zone and programmes for children. One of the branch's key attractions will be the Department Store RUSSIA, featuring traditional folk crafts, modern Russian brands and products by domestic artisans.

Particular attention in the concept is given to the connection between the future National Centre RUSSIA and the surrounding territory. Its symbol will be the red-crowned crane, a rare bird of the Far East that symbolises loyalty, family happiness and wisdom in the cultures of the Indigenous peoples of the Khabarovsk Territory.

The concept for the branch in the Khabarovsk Territory was presented and approved on 19 March 2026 at the National Centre RUSSIA in Moscow, alongside projects from seven other regions. Plans for the development of the branch network were also presented to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin.

The model is installed at the National Centre RUSSIA branch in Primorye at 4 Batareinaya Street, Vladivostok. It shows not only the future National Centre RUSSIA building, but also other development projects for the Russian part of Bolshoy Ussuriysky Island. Visitors can examine the model in detail and learn what the second National Centre RUSSIA branch in the Far East will look like. It will remain on display in Vladivostok for one month before moving to Khabarovsk, where it will be shown at the Youth Leisure Centre at 7A Shevchenko Street.
