The Republic of Kalmykia starts preparing for RUSSIA EXPO
06.01.2023

Batu Khasikov, the head of the Republic, has told what the region will present at the RUSSIA EXPO.

"We are ready to present the achievements of our region in various sectors including the economy, agriculture, education, sports, tourism, digital technologies, environmental protection and science. We are set to showcase the highly original world of our republic and share the main strategies for the development of cultural, historical and spiritual tourism", — the head of the republic specified.

The Republic of Kalmykia is located in the south-east of the country, on the Caspian coast. It is the largest center of Buddhism in Europe. Kalmykia is famous for its beef cattle breeding, agro-industrial complex, cultural heritage and picturesque natural landscapes including Big Yashaltinskoe lake with its medicinal properties and the sandy Baer knolls.

Kalmykia is betting not only on its traditions but also investing heavily into the new branches for the region including logistics, alternative and hydrocarbon power engineering.

"Our republic is beautiful and unique, and we must present our region in the best possible way. There is interesting work awaiting us, folks!",— Batu Hasikov pointed out.
