Career, movies, games: where to ho and what to do before the RUSSIA EXPO closes
Soon, the incredibly large-scale, vibrant, and informative
RUSSIA EXPO will come to an end. It's the perfect time to visit the distant
pavilions and, along the way, appreciate the luxurious flowerbeds of the
"Future in Flowers" festival and other interesting locations.
HOME OF YOUTH
Right next to the "Space" pavilion is the
"Home of Youth" pavilion: bright and interesting, true to its name.
Here, several locations offer various educational content and entertainment for
all tastes, from simulators to computer games. Most importantly, schoolchildren
and students can find all the necessary information about available grants,
scholarships and other support measures.
After an educational tour, be sure to stroll through the
regional flowerbeds. Take your time: notice the interesting details, plants and
symbols. The floral expositions is an opportunity to learn more about the
culture, history and achievements of our country.
PAVILION NO. 51 "EAT OUR OWN"
The exposition of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian
Federation is located in one of the most interesting and monumental pavilions
at VDNH. It's worth visiting at least for the building itself, built in 1954 by
the architects V.M. Lisitsyn and S.G. Chernobai. Incidentally, the pavilion
previously had equally resonant names: "Glavmyaso" (lit. "Main
Meat") and later "Meat Industry." Today, the pavilion is a
federally significant cultural heritage site.
The exposition inside tells about the grain industry, which
is the foundation for the food security of any state. The exposition space,
filled with multimedia installations, demonstrates the journey of grain from
selection to international market deliveries.
Not far from the pavilion is the Novo-Prostokvashino City
Farm, where you can pet animals, relax in nature and participate in creative
workshops. Also nearby is the Farmers Fair with delicious products from
different regions. You can buy meat, fish, cheese and sweets.
MUSEUM OF CINEMA
One of the most distant objects of the Exposition is the
Museum of Cinema, and until July 7, all its expositions are available for free.
Visitors can see both the permanent expositions of the Museum of Cinema, such
as "The Labyrinth of History" about the main events of the first
century of Russian cinema, "Sergei Eisenstein's Study", "The
Time of Victories" and temporary expositions. For example, "The Third
Strike. On the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Sevastopol",
"Oleg Yankovsky. In Dreams and Reality" and "Our People. The
Universe of Leonid Gaidai's Characters".
The National Centre RUSSIA reminds everyone that registration for the video essay contest "Dreams of the Future".
