Cossack will: Don wedding at the RUSSIA EXPO
On the Volgograd Region Day at the International RUSSIA EXPO, a wedding of a loving couple from the region - Vladislav Kapustinsky and Alexandra Semenenko - took place.
"I proposed to Alexandra back in summer, but it just so happened that we had a chance to represent our region at the RUSSIA EXPO. It is very honorable and it is a huge burden of responsibility, but we are very pleased and grateful that it was us who were chosen", — Vladislav Kapustinsky said.
"My dad has been involved in Cossack traditions for many years and works as a director in a Cossack ensemble. Of course, we didn't expect so many guests, it's very exciting", — added Alexandra Semenenko.
The guests were shown the bride's morning in the house before the wedding, the rite of braid weaving, maiden's round dance, meeting of matchmakers at the bride's house, the bride price scene, the blessing and offering of gifts, the first Cossack dance of the newlyweds, dances and table festivities.
The artists of the State Song and Dance Ensemble "Cossack Will" helped to recreate the atmosphere of the traditional marriage ceremony of the natives of the Volgograd region.
