On 27 August, the National Centre RUSSIA will host a regular meeting within the framework of the author's project "Dialogues About the Future". The central topic of discussion will be education as a key platform for innovation and preparation for the challenges of a rapidly changing reality.

The expert discussion "The Future of Education: Human Cognitive Abilities in the Context of Innovation" is organized by the National Centre RUSSIA, the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, and VTsIOM. The meeting will traditionally be moderated by Valery Fedorov, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Mass Communications at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, Director General of VTsIOM. Mikhail Lebedev, a neurophysiologist and developer of neurocomputer interfaces, professor at Moscow State University, head of the Laboratory of Neurotechnology at the Sechenov Institute of Evolutionary Physiology and Biochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Ruslan Yusufov, a futurologist, researcher, founder of the MINDSMITH Analytical Centre, will take part in the discussion.

We'll talk with experts about the work of neural interfaces and new brain capabilities, the impact of innovations on human cognitive abilities, and about how to avoid losing cognitive sovereignty on the way to digital and technological sovereignty. Also, we'll discuss whether there is a chance to move away from competition and come to cooperation with artificial intelligence. We will share our thoughts on how education will change, with regard to developing trends in technology and innovation, and who and how will teach us in the future.

The dialogue is intended to bring together experts and all those who are interested in developing an educational system capable of responding to the challenges of our time.

The author's educational project of the National Centre RUSSIA — the "Dialogues About the Future with Valery Fedorov" — invites everyone to talk about the future that is being created today. It continues the cycle of satellite events of the II International Symposium "Inventing the Future", and is aimed at maintaining public interest in comprehending the future, and at filling this concept with relevant meanings in the context of rapid changes in the modern world.
